One of the Los Angeles Lakers’ first moves in NBA free agency was to bring in former Minnesota Timberwolves wing Taurean Prince on the one-year, $4.5 million bi-annual exception (which also immediately told us the team would be operating out of a hard cap).

The soon-to-be eight-year veteran and 6’7 wing brings a veteran presence to the team, and a wing profile that the Lakers have seemingly been short on since the turn of the century.

Let's take a closer look at the film and what he brings to this Lakers roster:

The signing of Prince aligns with the consistent theme that the Lakers and general manager Rob Pelinka have shown throughout the offseason in free agency, whether with their own players or new ones — finding players whose profiles fit with the team on and off the court at excellent values.
