For Those That Are Holding On To The Precious 2 FRPs



This is a quick guide on what and how many First Round picks the Lakers currently hold. I got this HERE but many seems unaware of it, especially those that think trading two first round picks is the end of the Lakers' immediate future. Starting 2023 up to 2029, the Lakers have SIX PICKS OUT OF SEVEN DRAFTS.

Again, that's 6 picks.

If you trade 2 of them, the Lakers have 4 first round picks left. FOUR!

It means from here to 2029, you have 4 picks let and got rid of Russ and got Kyrie plus another shooter and a chance to compete for a title.

You hold on to those 2 distant picks and Russ stays and the team failed to get into the playoffs, the NOP get that 2023 pick.
