A refreshed Harrison Faigen is the guest on this week’s “Anthony Irwin Show.” Well, under normal circumstances, someone coming off a vacation would be refreshed, but as Harrison explains to close the episode, he isn’t a normal person.
The Lakers were nice enough to give Harrison some fresh news to come back to work with, with the impending signing of Rajon Rondo and potential addition of DeAndre Jordan. One signing here makes a lot more sense than the other, so Harrison and I gave our thoughts on which one we like more.
When it comes to Rondo, honestly, this is a perfectly fine thought process. All the Lakers’ current guards prioritize scoring above facilitating for anyone else. In this regard, having someone on the roster who thinks about the game the way Rondo does will bring value. Sure, there might be concerns down the road about his role, but it’s way to far out to worry about anything like that right now.
Jordan as an addition for the Lakers, conversely, doesn’t seem like the greatest idea — especially if it means Marc Gasol’s Lakers tenure is over. Jordan hasn’t been particularly good in a few years in his own right, is a lesser player than Gasol, and his skillset overlaps with Dwight Howard’s.
But other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
We then closed the show with the aforementioned vacation injury story, and a tease about some developments on the Silver Screen & Roll Podcast Feed.
