The NBA offseason does not truly kick off until the first Lakers rumors or jersey swap is seen out in the wild. And even with the offseason not yet having started, we already have plenty of both. On Monday, the latest link to the team came in the form of quotes courtesy of DeMar DeRozan during his appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast.

Notable tidbits included DeRozan discussing his free-agency plans. The veteran guard and Los Angeles native detailed the importance of winning, as well as the “great opportunity” it would be to potentially play for his hometown club in the Lakers.

DeRozan’s comments sent much of the fanbase in a tizzy, given that they came on the heels of a report from Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times that stated the unrestricted free agent would be willing to even take a pay-cut to play for the Lakers. While the cap logistics of this actually happening are ultimately dependent on how much DeRozan is willing to sacrifice, the on-court fit is already stirring up debate. Which brings us to today’s episode.

On this week’s edition of “Talk-O Tuesday” — a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll — our hosts Alex Padilla and Alex Regla discussed the recent DeRozan developments, as well as touching on the other rumors surrounding the team, including a potential Buddy Hield for Kyle Kuzma swap and the latest on Russell Westbrook. Which moves would the Alex’s most want to happen? Find out on the show.
