It was a busy weekend in the world of sports, and while Game 3 of the NBA Finals set up an exciting Game 4 between the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks, it wasn’t the best game of the weekend — that title belongs to one of the two cup final games that were played on the soccer pitch.

For that reason, Christian Jacob devoted this week’s episode of “Can U Dig It?” to recapping both games and doing their best to make NBA comparisons for the games and their storylines. First, they talk about the Copa America Final between Argentina and Brazil, in which Lionel Messi — arguably the greatest soccer player of all time — won the first international trophy of his career. Who is his NBA comp?

Then, they discuss the Euro 2020 Final, which saw Italy come out on top over the favorites, England, because of some questionable personnel decisions made by England’s manager Gareth Southgate. Does that sound like any NBA coach? It should.

They finally wrap up the show by talking about the 25-year anniversary of the trade that sent Lakers center Vlade Divac to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Kobe Bryant. The rest is history.
