Los Angeles Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was robbed at gunpoint in his own driveway earlier this month, according to a TMZ report.
Caldwell-Pope, thankfully, was reportedly not harmed during the robbery — which reportedly took place on June 17 — but according to TMZ, he and his friends did have approximately $150,000 worth of items stolen, including a watch, jewelry and iPhone.
TMZ reports that the LAPD is currently investigating the incident. Caldwell-Pope’s camp did not respond to TMZ’s request for comment, and have not commented on this incident publicly so far.
For now, we can all just be thankful that no one was harmed, and the whole thing does make Caldwell-Pope’s wife McKenzie’s Instagram post about him for Father’s Day hit a little bit harder in the aftermath of this knowledge.
We will update this post if and when more details come to light.
