When the Los Angeles Lakers were heading into their matchup with the Denver Nuggets on Monday, their goal was very likely not only to win, but try to take that pivotal first step in building momentum for their last few games. As Anthony Davis soared across the court for what would become the game-sealing block, it was clear the team accomplished both.

For the first time in a long time, the Lakers looked like their championship-winning-selves again. The defense was swarming, Davis was a force on both ends of the floor and there were countless contributions from up and down the roster, the biggest of which arguably came from Marc Gasol, whose performance should propel him back into the regular rotation, a reality that brings us to today’s episode.

On this week’s edition of “Talk-O Tuesday,” our hosts Alex Padilla and Alex Regla recapped the Lakers’ big win over the Nuggets, Davis’ bounce-back performance and what Gasol’s strong outing could mean for the team’s center rotation. Andre Drummond, who replaced Gasol in the starting lineup, posted a team-worst plus-minus of -11 in the 21 minutes he played on Monday.

Finally, to close the show, Alex and Alex also analyzed the aspects from the win that the team could carry over into what is shaping up to be both a difficult and pivotal stretch for the Lakers as they wrap up the season.
