It’s not easy to get Lakers season tickets. Basically everyone in Los Angeles wants them, there is a long waiting list, and people pass them down to their descendants to avoid their family losing them.

Or at least, it’s never been easy ... until now, when the the L.A. Country Department of Public Health is running a sweepstakes this weekend, in which anyone receiving the COVID-19 vaccine at 20 of their clinics will be entered for a chance to win a pair of 2020-21 Lakers season tickets. All you have to do is get the free vaccine and you’re entered for a chance to win.

From their press release:

This weekend at all the County-run vaccination sites, the Department of Health Services vaccination sites, and the L.A. City vaccination sites, everyone 18 years and older coming to get their first vaccine will have a chance to enter the Los Angeles Lakers 2021-22 Season Ticket Vaccination Sweepstakes to win a pair (2) of season tickets for next season.

With millions of residents still needing to get vaccinated, this is an exciting opportunity that allows those still not protected to get vaccinated and perhaps be the lucky person who gets to watch the Lakers pursue a championship.

That link above also includes even more information on the safety and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines.

The vaccination site locations included in the sweepstakes as of this writing are:

  • Palmdale Oasis Park Recreation Center
  • Monrovia Public Health Center
  • North Hollywood Public Health Center
  • College of the Canyons
  • Crenshaw Clinic
  • Pomona Fairplex

  • Dodger Stadium
  • Balboa Sports Complex
  • Pierce College
  • Eugene A Obregon Park – Gymnasium

However, the health department adds that “additional locations may be added.” For full information on how to book your appointment and get entered for a chance to win the season tickets, check out the county webpage for this initiative. It’s that easy.
