NBA: Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

In a season like no other, the Los Angeles Lakers will compete for one of the eight playoff spots in a way they never have before: through a play-in tournament.

On Wednesday, the Lakers will play the Golden State Warriors for ownership of the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. If they win that game, they’ll go on to play the Phoenix Suns. If they lose, they’ll have to beat the winner of the game between the Memphis Grizzlies and San Antonio Spurs to advance as the No. 8 seed.

We know; it’s a lot to take in. That’s why on today’s episode of “Can U Dig It?” Christian and Jacob breakdown everything you need to know about the Lakers’ upcoming schedule. Then, they get into the lengths that other teams in the Western Conference went to avoid the Lakers in the playoffs and preview the potential first-round matchups.

Finally, they talk about how the Lakers matchup with the Warriors and go through the three games that they played in the regular season. Ironically, the only game that the Warriors won was the game that both LeBron James and Anthony Davis played in. Hopefully history doesn’t repeat itself on Wednesday.
