Despite finally getting Anthony Davis back on the floor, the Lakers are still in a form of elongated limbo. That’s been par for the course this season.
Throughout the year, there have been plenty of stops and go’s given the deluge of injuries, new additions to the roster, and it’s all happened while the team has been trying to notch wins in order to keep pace. These past few games have represented another case of everyone on the team having to learn on the fly. Between Davis adjusting to yet another new front-court partner in Andre Drummond, the team’s perpetually solid defense finally experiencing some slippage, and the status of LeBron James still being up in the air, things have remained fluid for the squad, which brings us to today’s podcast.
On this week’s edition of “Talk-O Tuesday” — a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll — our hosts Alex Padilla and Alex Regla recapped the Lakers’ win over the Orlando Magic on Monday night, discussed how Anthony Davis has looked since his return, and looked ahead to what appears to be a favorable stretch of games for the purple and gold.
Finally, to wrap up the show, Alex and Alex also analyzed Dennis Schröder’s play during James and Davis’ absences, and discussed if his gamble of passing up multiple contract extensions may end up paying off. Imagine reading that sentence a few weeks ago around the trade deadline.
