Andre Drummond made his debut for the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night and it was interesting, to say the least. While Drummond had moments where he showed what a dominant presence in the paint he can be, he also had moments where it was obvious he hadn’t played an organized game of basketball since February.
On top of that. Drummond suffered an injury he attempted to play through before finally exiting the game in the third quarter. He ended his night 4 points, 2 assists, a rebound and a block.
On today’s Silver Screen and Roll postgame show, Christian and Anthony discuss what they liked and didn’t like from Drummond’s debut. They also talked about Frank Vogel’s decision to play Marc Gasol less than six minutes and where the 12-year veteran can find minutes going forward.
They wrap the show up by talking about the Lakers’ upcoming slate of games, which will see them play the LA Clippers, Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets. Will Anthony Davis or LeBron James be back before then, or will these just be scheduled losses for the Lakers, who have gone 2-4 without James and Davis so far. For the sake of their playoff seeding, let’s hope it’s the former.
