Podcast: Montrezl Harrell is a monster

Montrezl Harrell is just one of several members of the Lakers who continued their post-break hot streak on Tuesday night against the Timberwolves.

The Los Angeles Lakers are undefeated (3-0) since returning from the NBA All-Star break, and although Tuesday night’s 137-121 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves was far from perfect, it it did present a successful formula the Lakers could follow for as long as Anthony Davis is out. The team played with pace, moved the ball and targeted Minnesota’s patchy defense with a multi-pronged attack.

Behind double-digit scoring outputs from six different players, LeBron James was able to preserve some energy en route to yet another triple double — the 99th of his career — and also paved the way for the club’s role players to build even more confidence during a span where they are needed more than ever.

Which brings us to today’s episode of our postgame podcast. On this week’s edition of “Talk-O Tuesday,” our hosts Alex Padilla and Alex Regla recapped the Lakers’ win over the Timberwolves, and why the team has been rolling since the break. After that, they discussed the recent breakout performances from Montrezl Harrell — who has been a monster since the Lakers returned to action — Talen Horton-Tucker and Kyle Kuzma, and detailed why the upcoming schedule will be difficult (to say the least).
