At long last, Lakers are back home in Los Angeles, and they’ll be here for a little while. Starting with their game against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, the Lakers will play their next five games at Staples Center, where they’ve gone 4-4 this season.
They used to be undefeated on the road, but they lost their back-to-back games of the season on their seven-game road trip. In this week’s episode of “The 30,” Anthony and Jas kick things off by recapping that seven-game road trip, and why there was never a need to panic after the Lakers’ loss to the Pistons. Following that, the guys get into if there is a cause for concern with Anthony Davis’ performance early in the season.
Then Anthony and Jas got into Jared Dudley’s book excerpt about why the Lakers had animosity towards Paul George and the Clippers during their time together in the bubble last season. Should George get more respect around the league? Or did he bite off more than he can chew when pumping up his squad last year? Plus, there is one specific aspect of all this that fascinates Anthony, and he explained why.
Following that, Anthony and Jas talked about Dudley’s comments about why LeBron James was upset with Daryl Morey during the China trip, and what they think about them. Then, they wrapped up by making a bet with each other on how the Lakers will do on their upcoming five-game homestand.
