After a seven-game trek across the Eastern Conference that stretched out across two long weeks, the Lakers are finally headed back to Los Angeles, and they’ll do so with a winning record.

Although they showed signs of slippage in some of their most recent contests, one of which ended with them on the wrong end of a game-winning shot, the team will return to Los Angeles with a 5-2 record on the trip. All things considered, that’s pretty great.

Monday’s 107-99 win over the Atlanta Hawks was not without any drama, however. Thanks to the resilient play of the Hawks’ young players and the very specific boisterous presence of two fans that were sitting courtside, the Lakers had to overcome a few obstacles, but they were ultimately able to end their trip on a high note. Which brings us to today’s episode.

On this week’s edition of “Talk-O Tuesday” — a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll — our hosts Alex Padilla and Alex Regla recapped the Lakers’ win over the Hawks, LeBron James’ interaction with the attendees of the game, and their impressions of the road trip overall. The two also discussed the Lakers’ upcoming home stand, which could kick off with an exciting matchup between Nikola Jokic and Marc Gasol on Thursday.
