The preseason for the Lakers was a mixed bag of results. Collectively, the team finished winless in their six preseason games and struggled on both ends of the at times through the exhibition slate.

Individually, though, a number of Lakers stood out from the pack across the six games. Anthony Davis looked back to his top form, Carmelo Anthony showed how he could be valuable to the Lakers in his current role and perhaps no player saw their stock rise more than Austin Reaves.

These players are some of the subjects of the bold predictions given by Christian and Jacob on this week’s episode of “Can U Dig It,” a podcast by the Silver Screen and Roll network. After mourning the second straight walk-off loss by the Dodgers in the NLCS, the pair begin looking at the upcoming Lakers regular season.

First, they discuss Anthony Davis and potential awards he could be in line for with a strong season this year. They also look at the Lakers’ competitors in the Western Conference and look at how good of a season they could have as well as which players could be on the trade block.

They also look at Reaves’ preseason performance and how big of a role he could have earned heading into the regular season and whether that may force players out. Lastly, they look at Davis’ role in the starting lineup this season.
