With their 94-92 win against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers finished up their first road trip of the season a perfect 4-0. Winning away from home has historically proven difficult for NBA teams, but with the lack of fans due to the pandemic, and playing within a new baseball-like series format, road games now present a different form of challenge than they have previously.
The Lakers ultimately took care of business, though, even if they didn’t put their best foot forward in terms of their effort for the whole game (or trip, for that matter).
With that said, there were still things learned from their trek through the Southwest division, which brings us to today’s episode. On this week’s edition of “Talk-O Tuesday” — a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll — our hosts Alex Padilla and Alex Regla recapped the win over the Grizzlies, and gave their takeaways on the team’s road trip overall. They also theorized on Kyle Kuzma’s quiet “starter Kuz” performance, and why it is just another representation of his role and trajectory on this team.
