The Lakers may be off today, but the Silver Screen and Roll podcast isn’t, as we were lucky enough to be joined by a big guest: Jorge Sedano of ESPN, who will be covering the Lakers’ home game against the New Orleans Pelicans tomorrow night.
To start the show, Jorge and host Jas Kang previewed the game, and what to expect from the nationally televised matchup on ESPN. Following that, the guys broke down why the Lakers have looked so dominant early in the season, despite them simultaneously appearing like they’re still figuring out their chemistry and going at half speed. It’s quite the dichotomy, but both things are somehow true.
After that, Jorge and Jas talked about how the coronavirus has impacted the league as a whole, and what the future holds for this NBA season. Then, they got into Talen Horton-Tucker’s potential and what his ceiling could be. Following that, Jorge shared his thoughts on the James Harden trade and what it means for the NBA.
Finally, to wrap things up, they discussed what it’s like for Jorge covering the league during the pandemic and touched on his upcoming story on Kobe Bryan’s 81-point game against the Toronto Raptors.
