In a series that has given fans a lot to digest in just a short period of time, Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Lakers and Rockets continued that trend, and in the process unearthed one of the NBA’s most popular myths — “Playoff Rondo.”
For Rajon Rondo, who spent the majority of this season enraging a large portion of the Lakers’ fanbase (especially those on Twitter), he followed up his impressive performance in Game 2 with an even better outing in Game 3. He was especially great during crunch time, helping the team secure a 2-1 advantage in the series heading into Thursday’s now-pivotal Game 4.
On this week’s edition of “Talk-O Tuesday” — a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll — our hosts Alex Padilla and Alex Regla spent the majority of the postgame show recapping nearly every angle and observation that stood out to them during the Lakers’ huge win on Tuesday night, including the aforementioned scintillating play from Rondo, LeBron James’ own masterful performance at age 35, Kyle Kuzma’s continuing composed play and outstanding development throughout the playoffs, and another stellar defensive effort from the entire team collectively, especially in the fourth quarter.
