On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers will step onto the court and face off against the last remaining obstacle between them and their 17th championship in franchise history, the final hurdle in a year that has had plenty: The Miami Heat, a physical, determined and hungry squad that has approached the postseason similarly to the Lakers themselves.

There are a number of interesting matchups and storylines heading into the Finals — Which pair of stars will be better? How will the role players for both teams match up? — most of which could end up determining which organization ultimately wins the 2020 NBA championship.

All of that brings us to this week’s edition of “Talk-O Tuesday” — a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll — during which out hosts, Alex Padilla and Alex Regla, spent the majority of the show previewing Game 1 of the NBA Finals, while also highlighting a few specific matchups they’re keeping their eyes on as the series moves along over the next week or so.

After that, the two Alex’s give their predictions on the series, and shared their outside of the box candidates for Finals MVP when everything is said and done.
