Before the NBA season was suspended in March, the Los Angeles Lakers looked they were ramping themselves up for a deep playoff run. When the season resumed in July, there was no guarantee that they’d reach that level again.

Fortunately for Lakers fans, the team quickly proved their doubters wrong in the postseason, going 8-2 en route to their first Western Conference Finals appearance since 2010. The question that remains is: have the Lakers reached their ceiling?

Our hosts Christian and Jacob tried to answer that question on this week’s episode of “Can U Dig It?” with special guests Kendrew Abueg, one of our social voices here at Silver Screen & Roll, and C.J. Toledano, the head writer and creative director at House of Highlights.

They also talked about results of the playoffs so far, how those expectations have lined up with the expectations they had at the start of the season and what they’re expecting to see in the Conference Finals in the east and west. The Lakers will play Game 1 of their Western Conference Finals series against the Denver Nuggets on Friday, while the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are nearly midway through their series.

And, of course, they spent some time talking about the Clippers’ implosion in Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals, because it’s still funny — it will never not be funny.
