Following a dominant victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Kobe Bryant Day, the Los Angeles Lakers have almost finished off their first series of the NBA playoffs. We have some thoughts on how everything is going so far after the big win.

To kick off our latest episode of the Silver Screen and Roll postgame podcast, hosts Anthony Irwin and Jas Kang broke down the Lakers’ 135-115, end-to-end destruction of the Trail Blazers in Game 4 that gave them an imposing 3-1 lead in the first round. The guys discussed LeBron James’ masterful performance on the evening, and how he dominated right from the opening tip. He continues to appear as though he has fully activated playoff mode, and it is a beautiful sight to behold for anyone rooting for the Lakers.

After that, Anthony and Jas got into what the Lakers have done differently over the last three games since losing the opener. The guys talked about how Los Angeles overwhelmed Portland in the first quarter of Game 4, and how Frank Vogel has made adjustments on both ends of the floor over the first four games.

After the break, Anthony and Jas got into the other NBA playoff series, and how the L.A. Clippers look sluggish against the Dallas Mavericks, and what it could mean in a potential matchup against the Lakers. For all the talk of the Lakers’ struggles coming into the NBA playoffs, the Clippers may be the team that actually has the potential to get upset in the first round. Or even if they don’t, they may have shown some flaws at the very least.
