The Los Angeles Lakers will begin their first playoff series in seven years tomorrow, and after the weekend play-in, we know who they’ll be facing: Damian Lillard and the surging Portland Trail Blazers. But while Lillard and Co. has been hyped as a massive threat, how much of a challenge will this series be for the Lakers, actually?

In this episode of “The 30,” a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll, hosts Jas Kang and Anthony Irwin wanted to discuss just that, and kicked things off by diving in to preview the first-round playoff matchup between the Lakers and Blazers.

The guys talked about how the Lakers can slow down a red-hot Lillard and the high-powered Portland offense, as well as how the Blazers might try and stop LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Then, the guys got into how they think head coach Frank Vogel will have to adjust his starting lineup in the playoffs, and who he should go with to match up better with the Blazers in the series.

Finally, after the break, Anthony and Jas gave their predictions on who wins this series, before wrapping things up by going over the rest of the first-round matchups across the NBA.
