With their first scrimmage against another team just three days away, the Los Angeles Lakers are doing some scrimmaging of their own at their practices, and now that media is out of their quarantine and allowed into practices, we got to see bits of their scrimmage on Monday.
At Lakers practice - and wow, it’s good to be back in the gym around actual NBA basketball for the first time in four months... pic.twitter.com/23RLRGHcJA

Lakers practice. Nothing about this set up or anything in our world is normal — but inside the gym (except for distancing and wearing a mask) this felt something close to what life was like four months ago. pic.twitter.com/jQf1Mt7Cle

There are a few things that should be noted before we continue:
- Given the fact that the roster is incomplete (Markieff Morris still hasn’t joined the Lakers in Orlando), we shouldn’t read too much into the lineups Frank Vogel is using in these scrimmages.
- Ignore No. 1
In all seriousness, it’s good to see that Alex Caruso, Dion Waiters and Kyle Kuzma are getting some run in together because, along with Dwight Howard, they’ll likely be the core of the second unit. It’s also interesting to see that Quinn Cook and Dwight Howard are in the same unit. It’s probably just to balance rosters, but Vogel could see some untapped potential with them in the pick and roll too.
More Than An Athlete
Kobe Bryant posthumously received his second Emmy at the Los Angeles Emmys on Saturday. Bryant won his first Emmy — a Sports Emmy — for his short film “Dear Basketball,” which also won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film. Legend.

White Mamba Wedding
What do you call a man that shows up to the altar in an Alex Caruso jersey and doesn’t get stranded? Lucky.
This man Hayden is lucky.

As if him getting married wasn’t lucky enough, Hayden also got a shoutout from Kyle Kuzma and Alex Caruso on Twitter.

The coolest thing about this picture is that it will signify two things in the future:
- The happiest day of his life (a.k.a. when Alex Caruso goes off for 20 points against the Clippers)
- His wedding day
Free football
This one’s pretty self explanatory. We can only hope this gets on someone’s radar — namely the team at Madden.
