After four long months, the Los Angeles Lakers will finally return to the court on Wednesday barring unforeseen circumstances, which wouldn’t be all that surprising considering how the year has gone.

While Thursday’s scrimmage against the Dallas Mavericks won’t count towards the Lakers’ record, it will mark the beginning of what will be non-stop basketball for the Lakers until at least September. For that reason, this week’s episode of “Lakers, Explained” with Christian and Harrison was devoted to the season’s restart — specifically the questions we got from our followers on Twitter (@LakersSBN). As always, thank you for sending those in!

Before they got to that, though, they discussed Frank Vogel’s glowing praise for Kyle Kuzma, who’s apparently been one of the Lakers’ best players since the team arrived in Orlando. Is Kuzma healthier, or could this be a product of him having more ball-handling duties due to Rajon Rondo’s injury?

They also compared LeBron James’ MVP candidacy to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s in light of the NBA’s decision to have MVP voting based on games played through March 11. Did James do enough, or did he need the remainder of the 82-game regular season schedule to make his case? All that and more on this week’s show.
