The Los Angeles Lakers have officially arrived at Disney World in Orlando, and are being forced to adjust to life in the bubble. And from food complaints, to J.R. Smith not getting a blanket in his room, things didn’t get off to the best start, but there is at least some reason to hope that eventually it will all get better.
As the Lakers continue that adjustment process, we here and Silver Screen and Roll will be bringing you the latest news on their acclimation, from what the team is posting about, to what they’re saying in interviews, and even how much they’re openly bonding on social media.
And seriously, how could you not find some humor in all this when Smith started off his time in the bubble with the below video?

Seems unlikely they’ll be putting that one in the Disney World tourism video when all is said and done.
There will eventually be plenty of basketball to cover, but until then (and even after the games restart) it will likely be almost as fascinating to watch how the Lakers’ time in the bubble unfolds away from the court as well. There has never been an NBA championship chase quite like this.
We will be trying to post the updates below as close to daily as possible, so if you don’t have time to sit on social media all day and monitor things, or simply just want to see the funniest or most interesting highlights, bookmark this page, because this is the place for you.
We may not be in the bubble, but thanks to the magic of the internet, the players will be more than willing to give us a look inside what used to be the happiest place on earth.
