After receiving permission from the NBA Board of Governors and National Basketball Players Association this week, the league has basically everything it needs to go forth with its plan to resume its season at the ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex at Disney World in Orlando.
However, there are still details — both large and small — that need to be figured out before their July 31 target date.
On today’s episode of “Can U Dig It?”, a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll, co-hosts Jacob Rude and Christian Rivas went through everything there is to know about the NBA’s plan to restart the season, including the 22 teams that will be participating, the probability of a play-in tournament in the Western Conference, and the avenues the the league is exploring to try and make the remaining games feel as normal as possible.
They also discussed the things that are still unclear, like how the NBA plans to adjust the schedule so that there is no overlap in teams’ remaining eight games, how this season’s changes will affect the 2020-21 season, and whether or not the Lopez twins — Brook and Robin — will make the trip to Orlando in light of recent news.
So how do I declare one of those lockout things? Does one shout it out Michael Scott style? https://t.co/Ho55jlkUX8

Robin is obviously joking, but Lakers fans wouldn’t be mad if the Milwaukee Bucks had two less big bodies to throw at Anthony Davis in a potential NBA Finals matchup. Go ahead and protest, Lopez twins. Fight for your right to ride Splash Mountain as much as your hearts desire.
