Luckily, Young and McGee were able to laugh it off.

JaVale McGee and Nick Young are good friends. They came into the league around the same time, they were teammates on the Washington Wizards for almost four years, and they won a championship together on the Golden State Warriors in 2018.

By all accounts, they’re pals — if they weren’t, things may have gotten ugly on Friday.

According to a tweet that Young sent out on Friday, he was driving around Los Angeles when he nearly got into a collision with another driver. Apparently, Young felt the other driver was in the wrong because he was ready to get out of the car and tell them something. Luckily for both parties involved, that driver was McGee.

Let’s pretend McGee and Young didn’t know each other for a moment.

McGee is a legit seven-footer with a 7’6” wingspan, and he has a good amount of muscle on those pterodactyl-like arms. If Young and McGee were complete strangers, Young probably would have made a business decision and stayed in his car.

Then again, Young is the anointed “Swaggy P,” so he could have some supernatural abilities that we don’t know about. Remember when he fought Drew Gooden? And Greg Monroe? And Alex Len? And Anthony Tolliver? And ... well, you get it.

Thankfully, everyone left the battleground unscathed, and the Lakers will have their starting center when the season eventually returns.
