In the midst of the NBA hiatus, we’ve been forced to consider some truly silly ideas for content, and what better person to turn to for outrageous basketball ideas than Shea Serrano? — author of the No. 1 New York Times Best Seller “Basketball (and Other Things): A Collection of Questions Asked, Answered, Illustrated.”
On today’s episode of “Lakers, Explained,” Harrison and Christian literally took a chapter out of Shea’s book and tried to build a Frankenplayer of their own using players from throughout Lakers history. There are obviously a ton of players to choose from, but there is one rule: If you use a player for one category, you can’t use them for another category. In other words, you can’t choose Alex Caruso for every category, as tempting as it might be.
Here are the 12 categories if you’d like to play along in the comments section.
- Name
- Hair
- Vision
- Forehead
- Chin
- Shoulders
- Arm musculature
- Wingspan
- *Mentality
- Finishing in the lane ability
- Shooting ability
- Ability to protect the paint
*The original category wasn’t mentality; it was ... something else.
