Podcast: A Lakers All-Decade Team Competition

It’s easy to pick the top five Lakers of the 2010s, but we had something a little more unique in mind.

On today’s episode of “I Love Basketball”, Sabreena and Anthony draft competing All-Decade teams for the 2010s Lakers. But it’s a bit more complicated than just the top players to play for the team during this decade.

Sabreena and Anthony only pick individual seasons for each player, and once a pick has been made, both that player and that season are off the board. If you’re familiar with this decade of Lakers basketball, starting with the 2010-11 season, you’ll know that the two of them had to dig deep to field a competent five-man unit. Nevertheless, Sabreena and Anthony still try to draft a reasonable lineup with all five positions.

It’s a tremendously weird and fun dive back into the last ten years of Lakers fandom, and I can assure you, the five-man groups we selected are unique to any all-decade exercise. Listen up, and tell us who you think drafted the better team. If you think we could have done better, let us know in the comments how the draft should have gone.
