On the latest episode of the “The 30,” a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll, host Jas Kang was joined by Anthony Irwin to talk about the latest Lakers news, the big new Michael Jordan/Chicago Bulls documentary on ESPN, and more.
Anthony and Jas kicked things off by discussing the coronavirus pandemic and the effect it is having on society as a whole, as well as theorizing about when we might see the Lakers (and the rest of the league) next play basketball again. Then, they discussed how they think the league should proceed with the scheduling of games.
Following that, Anthony and Jas talked about the first two episodes of “The Last Dance,” and what memories they have of the Bulls and Jordan from growing up. Anthony met MJ, and told a cool story about the moment.
The guys then got into their thoughts on how Kobe Bryant and Jordan were similar in terms of their cool factor, and how Kobe’s game mirrored MJ’s on so many levels. Finally, to wrap things up, Anthony and Jas gave their thoughts on how a series would have went between the 1996 Bulls and 2000 Lakers if those two teams were to use a time machine to meet up.
