NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Los Angeles Clippers Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

With no signs of a potential return to basketball in sight, the Lakers and their front office, may have to begin preparing for next year. Just in case.

It is difficult to gauge where a team who both led a conference and were among a handful of title favorites needs improvement, but that should be no excuse for overlooking cracks in the armor. Which brings us to today’s episode.

Our hosts Alex Padilla and Alex Regla spend the majority of this week’s episode of “Talk-O-Tuesday” discussing what went right and wrong this season, while also touching on what needs to change next year.

Also discussed is the team’s upcoming salary cap, their own pending free agents and whether a trade involving one of its most popular players should be expected in the offseason — whenever that will be.
