LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers got a huge win to sweep the season series over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night without Anthony Davis, and that wasn’t the only fireworks from the team on the day. They also waived veteran guard Troy Daniels to open up a roster spot, and reportedly set up a workout with free agent Dion Waiters.

On the latest episode of “The 30” — a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll — host Jas Kang was joined by guest co-host Anthony Irwin to discuss it all.

They kicked things off by breaking down the Lakers’ win over the Pelicans, and how James showcased his greatness in that game. The King finished with a triple-double and controlled the action all the way through in a way that only he can. Anthony and Jas then discussed what made LeBron so unstoppable in the game, and how opposing teams won’t be able to change that come playoff time.

Following that, the guys gave their thoughts on which team they want the Lakers to play in the first round, and then touched on the team’s decision to waive Daniels to open up another roster spot, and then Anthony and Jas debated if they think Waiters would be a good fit should the Lakers actually choose to sign him after their workout.
