To close out an exciting and exhausting first half of the season, the Los Angeles Lakers traveled to Denver on Wednesday night and came away with a memorable 120-116 win on the backs of a LeBron James triple-double and clutch 3-pointers from Anthony Davis late.

On the latest episode of “Can You Dig It?” — a podcast by Silver Screen and Roll — host Jacob Rude was joined by guest Honi Ahmadian of Lakers Outsiders to discuss the win and a few other topics of interest.

The pair talked about how the Lakers were able to limit Nikola Jokic, one of the league’s best players in clutch situations, during the fourth quarter and overtime while singing the praises of role players Alex Caruso and Dwight Howard.

Then, in the second half of the show, the two looked back on the first half of the season and handed out awards. After discussing the MVP-caliber seasons of James and Davis, they talked about some of the biggest surprises, the best games — including Wednesday’s win over Denver — and the most memorable moments so far in the year.
