Like most of us, the Los Angeles Lakers are anxiously inching closer towards the (All-Star) weekend. Fully immersed in the dog days portion of the season, the team finally snapped out of the malaise it was in with a much-needed 125-100 blowout win against the Suns on Monday.

But the Lakers aren’t done with this first part of the season, and their final game before the weekend’s festivities will not be as easy. The Lakers are off to Denver to face the Nuggets, who are suddenly just three games back of the Lakers in the Western Conference standings with just a game to go before the All-Star break.

On today’s show, hosts Alex Padilla and Alex Regla discussed all that, as well as Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma’s recent play during what has been an up-and-down season. The two also gave their thoughts on Kuzma’s spot in closing lineups for the Lakers, and his chemistry with Rajon Rondo.

They also more fully previewed Wednesday’s nationally televised Lakers vs. Nuggets match-up, which is yet another test for the Lakers against an upper-echelon team in their conference. Can they get another resume-building win against a fellow playoff team right before the break? It won’t be easy, but Alex and Alex gave their predictions on whether or not the team will make it happen.
