The Los Angeles Lakers thoroughly outclassed the Phoenix Suns on Monday night in their penultimate game before the NBA All-Star Break, winning 125-100 despite clearly not playing their most engaged basketball. Rajon Rondo was the star of the evening, breaking out of his nearly half-season-long slump with 23 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds as part of a strong night overall from the bench.
Host Harrison Faigen was joined by Silver Screen and Roll Video Analyst Ali Behpoornia to break it all down, and they started with Rondo. Was anything about this performance replicable? Or is it more fool’s gold? They also discussed what they liked from the rest of the bench, and how the team really appears to need this upcoming break.
Then, Harrison and Ali talked about the fallout for the Lakers from Darren Collison’s decision to remain retired, and how Ali basically ruined his parents’ 30-year wedding anniversary as a result. After that, to wrap things up, Harrison and Ali talked about which players they think would most help the Lakers from the buyout market.
