We knew that there were going to be nights where the Los Angeles Lakers wouldn’t have Anthony Davis and/or LeBron James available, and we knew that the depth they added in the offseason would help them in those games. However, it wasn’t until Sunday that we got to see just how much that depth is going to help them.

With Davis sidelined, the Lakers handily beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 127-91 on Sunday. While James played a big part in their win, picking up 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in 26 minutes of game time, Kyle Kuzma and Marc Gasol also stepped up in a big way for the Lakers.

On today’s episode of “Can U Dig It?” our hosts Christian and Jacob recap the Lakers’ win over the Timberwolves and how Kuzma and Gasol impacted the game with Davis out. They also discuss whether or not it’s possible for Kuzma and Gasol to be as productive as they were on Sunday when Davis returns.

Before they get into anything Lakers-related, they take a moment to recap the day in the NBA, which started off with a completely different-looking game at Staples Center — or should I say, different-looking for the team representing L.A.
