The Los Angeles Lakers got a big win over the Houston Rockets over the weekend, and appear to be back on track after a minor hiccup against the Orlando Magic earlier in the week. On our latest podcast episode, we started off there, before working our way around to what the team will do at the NBA trade deadline, LeBron James’ usage and more.
In this show, host Jas Kang was joined by Sportsnet650’s Marcus Fitzgerald. To kick things off, they broke down the Lakers’ impressive win over the Rockets, and the wonderful gameplan head coach Frank Vogel implemented to slow down the potent Houston offense.
Following that, Marcus and Jas shared their thoughts on the Lakers’ chemistry, and how they seem to genuinely enjoy playing with each other, as well as how good they’ve looked without Anthony Davis in the lineup. Then, they talk about who they credit for the change in the culture surrounding the team, a culture that seemed much more negative last season.
Then, Marcus and Jas looked at the Lakers’ bench, and if there are any potential trade targets available ahead of the Feb. 6 deadline that would put this team over the top. Or is the buyout market/Darren Collison the way to go?
To wrap things up, the guys go over if LeBron should look at getting some rest with load management during the second half of the season.
