Podcast: How Kyle Kuzma unlocks the Lakers’ optimal ceiling

If Kyle Kuzma can shoot like he did as a rookie, the Lakers become pretty ridiculously tough to defend.

After yet another summer of dramatic roster changes for the Lakers, the team is once again set to trot out a slew of new players next season. But outside of the notable additions to the club this offseason exists one of the players with the most potential to swing this year’s outcome the most: Kyle Kuzma.

Silver Screen & Roll Podcast

On this week’s episode of the Silver Screen & Roll Podcast, the Alex’s first discuss the report suggesting the details of Magic Johnson and Kawhi Leonard’s phone-call leaking ended up playing a major role in Leonard landing elsewhere, and touch on how much weight it going public actually held.

The remaining majority of the show is used to preview Kuzma’s upcoming season as both hosts give their opinions now what a successful season for the 23-year-old looks like before finishing the episode with a round of “Fine or A Fine.”

Locked on Lakers

On today’s episode, Pete and I re-opened the mailbag to try to get to as many questions as we could. Somehow, despite July’s best attempts, listeners have a seemingly endless supply of topics they would like us to tackle.

After watching Pete try to name Marvel/DC comic book characters and damn near ending our podcast relationship over whether pineapple belongs on pizza, we answered questions about potential trades the Lakers could make, Anthony Davis playing the four and how we hope to see DeMarcus Cousins rebound from his two brutal injuries.

As we like to this time of year, we end the podcast by answering a fun question. This time, we offer up our first impressions of each other.

You can listen to the entire episode below, and make sure to subscribe on iTunes, where you can also leave questions in the form of a five-star review to guarantee your topic makes the show.
