This Los Angeles Lakers season obviously hasn’t gone at all to plan, but hey, there are worse things than putting a damper on the Clippers’ postseason seeding hopes and then doing the same to a Utah Jazz team that dared to wear purple in L.A. Today’s podcasts look back on those games and continue to get ready for the offseason to come.
I Love Basketball
On this episode of “I Love Basketball”, Sabreena and Sasha recap a delightful week in the Lakerland, as the team won twice and disrupted the playoff seeding of the Clippers. They dive deep into LeBron James’ recent sit-down with Allie Clifton, and how he came to terms with his injury and his inability to lift up the Lakers this year, before expressing some optimism for James’ return in 2019-20.
They then discuss the dynamic duo of newly-minted starters Alex Caruso and Jemerrio Jones, and how the Lakers have found value in players with offensive limitations. They close out by discussing the one thing that bothered them the most about the Lakers this year, before awarding the best dunk of the week.

Locked on Lakers
As with last week, I’m breaking the mailbag up into two podcasts, given the number of questions we’ve been receiving. That still leaves a ton to get to, though, including who from Michigan State Lakers fans should prepare themselves to root for seeing as that was likely the only basketball Magic Johnson watched over the weekend, the team’s ceiling next year given various scenarios, whether missing the playoffs was the plan all along (it wasn’t) and more.
