With only one full day before the season picks back up for LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, today’s podcasts focus on the task at hand by looking back on the team’s performance thus far. The playoffs are still very much at the forefront of everyone’s minds.
Show Tiempo
The Lakers enter the final stretch of the season with 25 games to go and sitting three games back of the eighth seed in the Western Conference. Alex Padilla and Jordan Carruth talk about the Lakers’ chances of making the playoffs. The Lakers have the ninth-toughest schedule remaining, while the two teams ahead of them have the 23rd and 21st, respectively. Is this gap and schedule too tough, or can the Lakers make a push into the dance?
Alex and Jordan also react to Joe Vardon of The Athletic's’ report that the Lakers are “slightly” concerned about LeBron James’ groin injury. James has been dealing with the injury since Christmas Day and has clearly not been at 100 percent. The guys believe that James' health is the most important thing for the final games. Without a healthy James there is no chance the Lakers makes the playoffs.
Jordan fires some quick fire questions to Alex about what the Lakers need to do besides keep James healthy to make the playoffs. Will these be the last 25 games for Luke Walton as the Lakers head coach? Will Lavar Ball make more public appearances bashing the team? And who else needs to step up besides James?

Locked on Lakers
On today’s episode, Pete and I use the previous 57 games to look ahead to the final 25. We go position by position to hand out grades for all the players thus far. How has Lonzo Ball fared this season? Brandon Ingram? The veterans? There’s plenty to discuss with each guy.
To end the show, we discuss the LeBron experience. How has he handled this situation? How much blame does he assume for the way things have gone? As with everyone else, there are levels to this.
