The The Los Angeles Lakers are entering their toughest stretch of the season, and after Tuesday's 105-96 win over the Nuggets, they are off to a solid start (I’m just chalking up that game against Dallas as some Turkey-induced fever dream).
Which brings us to today’s episodes.
Talk O’ Tuesday
The Alex’s spent the majority of the show recapping the impressive road win that saw the bench step up big time, the encouraging return of the team’s defense and the illness that has spread throughout the locker room and to one of the show’s hosts.
Also discussed was this month’s difficult schedule in more detail, and predictions on the team’s upcoming three games. The next two of which will be taking place in historically tough cities for the Lakers: Utah and Portland.

Locked on Lakers
To start the show, Pete and I basically laughed like a couple schoolchildren at how good these Lakers appear to be. In complete fairness, some concern about the lack of legitimate competition was warranted, but the Lakers went into Denver and beat a very good Nuggets team rather handily. That’s grounds for a little bit of fun here and there.
Once we got that out of our system, we dove headfirst into a mailbag that, well, let’s just say might have been somewhat under the influence. We had a ton of fun answering your questions and reading your iTunes account names.
Of the subjects discussed in this mailbag, probably the most pertinent to how things have gone this season centered on Kuzma and the way the Lakers are using him. Once again, listeners appeared a little concerned about the third-year wing.
