On a humid Tuesday night in Los Angeles that saw the Lakers win once again, LeBron James notch a historic triple-double and Anthony Davis rekindle his scoring prowess, it was Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who left Staples Center with all the buzz. Yes, this is real life.
Which brings us to today's episode.
Talk O’ Tuesday
The Alex’s spent a majority of the show recapping what was yet another fun contest for the purple and gold, before shifting to KCP’s recent strong stretch. Also discussed was Davis’ utilization against the Thunder, the duality of Rajon Rondo’s minutes and dunks!
And as has become tradition, our hosts also give their predictions for the Lakers’ upcoming schedule, which suddenly becomes very road-heavy.

Locked on Lakers
Pete and I start by celebrating the amount of pick-and-roll action James and Davis ran together, and the impact that seemed to have on Davis’ game. We also both noticed an adjustment he made to his shooting motion that seemed to pay dividends.
We then turned our attention to the tough injury Kyle Kuzma suffered during the game and what it might mean for the team moving forward. If the rotation without him in last night’s game was any indication, the Lakers really need Kuzma back as soon as possible.
From there, we discussed some of the decisions and lineups Frank Vogel went with, as well as what might’ve gone into them — not just in trying to win last night’s game, but also with an eye on the rest of the season as well.
