The Los Angeles Lakers may have came out on the wrong end of their season-opening matchup with the LA Clippers, but there are still some positives the team can take away, and lessons they can learn. On today’s podcasts, we discuss what those are.

Can You Dig It?

It’s too early in the season to overreact about what the Lakers showed in their regular season-opener against the Clippers, but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to take away from the game. In fact, in a lot of ways, the Lakers showed exactly who they are and who they aren’t.

On this week’s episode of “Can You Dig It?” Jacob and I discuss what went wrong in the Lakers’ first outing against the Clippers, and whether or not there are going to be long-term issues. We also discuss the positives of the team’s debut, such as how surprisingly effective they were in the post.

Locked on Lakers

The show’s most popular guest, Matt Moore of The Action Network, joined Anthony today. To start the show, the guys responded further to Tuesday night’s loss to the Clippers. While some holes in the roster were made painfully clear (looking at you, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope), there’s still plenty of reason to be optimistic about this team.

And seeing as gambling on sports is becoming legal basically everywhere and the NBA is welcoming that progress with open arms, there are going to be a ton of bets coming in from Lakers fans (and others) doing so for the first time. So, how should they do it? Matt and Anthony explain. They even have tangible evidence for L.A. nightlife being undefeated.
