In what was an intense opener to the new season, the Lakers unfortunately fell short against the Clippers in what felt very much like a playoff contest.
While it literally was only game one of 82, there were both small and pothole-sized concerns that many had about the team that manifested last night. Oh, and we also got to experience the raging inferno that is Danny Green.
Which brings us to tonight’s episodes.
Silver Screen & Roll Podcast
The Alex's spend a majority of the episode giving their immediate reactions to the purple and gold’s loss, with a primary focus on how Anthony Davis and LeBron James were utilized and the massive discrepancy in bench points, before offering a potential silver lining from the defeat that could benefit the Lakers long term.
From there, our hosts give their predictions for the team’s next few games and detail what it felt like to watch the former team’s young core dawning different jerseys.

Locked on Lakers
On today’s show, Pete and I react to a disappointing season-opener. Though it should be pointed out that, despite the result, the vibe in the arena and surrounding the game (and just having basketball back) was incredible. Aside from that, this was a kick straight to the nether regions, Draymond-style.
We go through all the facets of last night’s game to figure out where things went wrong, but really, this was as simple as superstars not performing up to expectations when the game was most on the line. James and Davis will want to have this one back.
