In a few mere days, Los Angeles Lakers basketball will mercifully return to our screens after an exhausting offseason. Training camp has begun, Avery Bradley has reportedly looked good and it’s all been mostly hunky dory thus far.
The only negative asterisk on an otherwise smooth start is Kyle Kuzma not being cleared for the team’s upcoming preseason trip to China. Depending on how long Kuzma is out, this raises lineup questions and a grander roster issue altogether, which brings us to today’s episodes.
Silver Screen & Roll Podcast
The Alex’s spend the majority of this week’s show discussing the void Kuzma’s absence will leave on the roster, and offer some candidates who could potentially fill his Pumas.
Also discussed are the latest news and notes from training camp, the new Clippers’ stars being booed over the weekend, Jared Dudley’s mission to mentor the aforementioned Kuzma and even some Pro-Wrestling. Hell yeah.

Locked on Lakers
In today’s first couple segments, I walk listeners through the storylines that have caught my eye in training camp. Avery Bradley apparently playing really well might mean he earns the starting gig over Rajon Rondo. That’d be ideal.
But can he play well enough to convince Frank Vogel, LeBron James and Anthony Davis that he’s a better option than the player they’ve likely already tabbed as the starter? That’s the question that should be at the forefront of Lakers fans’ minds.
I also reacted to Kuzma’s take on SB 206 and its multiple levels. I found it interesting all-around. From there, I re-opened the mailbag to try to catch up to the bevy of questions we received this week.
