NBA Free Agency: Paul George dances around Lakers, LeBron James questions at Fortnite celebrity pro-am

Paul George has had it with questions about his interest in the Lakers in free agency.

Paul George is back in Los Angeles, where he has spent most if not all of his time since the start of the offseason, and as long as he’s in his hometown, he’s going to get bombarded with questions and comments about his rumored interest in signing with the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency.

George has been getting these types of questions for almost a year now and for the most part, he’s handled them well—really well, if you ask Lakers fans. However, this week at the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am in L.A., George wasn’t having it with a reporter from TMZ Sports, who pressed George on his impending free agency, the Lakers and a potential team up with LeBron James in Los Angeles.

Being the well-mannered guy that he is, George answered the questions, but wasn’t nearly as forthright as he’s been in the past and frankly, it was fun to watch.

“Yeah, I’m with LeBron every All-Star,” George said of wanting to playing alongside James next season. “Every one of my All-Stars I’ve been teamed with LeBron. Yeah, I mean we got losing records, but I like playing with him. It’s fun playing with LeBron on All-Star weekend.”

But could James be in Los Angeles some time soon?

”It’s the summer, of course he’ll be out here, it’s the summer time,” George answered.

As for where George himself will playing next season, he also had an answer for that: ”The NBA.” That’s big, if true.

With the free agency moratorium period set to start in just a few weeks, George will likely stay put in Los Angeles, where most free agents take their meetings during that time. Whether or not he ends up signing with the Lakers, George said he has nothing but love for his city.

”I’m from L.A., so I can say I love L.A. because I’m from L.A,” George said.

George might already have his mind made up on where he’ll be playing next season, but for any reporter looking to get him to commit on camera before free agency starts, I suggest watching this interaction. For now, we’ll just have to wait.
