Los Angeles Lakers rookie Kyle Kuzma roasted his teammate Lonzo Ball so hard that he was given an award. In Bleacher Report’s inaugural “Sauce Awards,” an online awards show that caters to the more fun side of the NBA, Kuzma was named “Player Hater of the Year” for his season-long dedication to roasting his teammates.
Made famous by comedian Dave Chappelle on the “Chappelle’s Show” in 2003, the Playa Haters are masters in the art of hating. With the amount of time Kuzma spent hating on his teammates this past season, it’s no surprise he took the title from reigning “Player Hater of the Year” Silky Johnson.
In honor of his new title, Kuzma released a video hating on Ball in full Player Hater attire with the help of the crew at B/R (Warning: This video contains NSFW language).

Ball has yet to respond to Kuzma’s comments but it’s hard to imagine he won’t. Even if it’s all in good fun, if someone told me my face looked like a deep-dish pizza, there would be some form of retaliation.
Kuzma will have the opportunity to take home another award next month at the 2018 NBA Awards but this time it won’t be for his fiery burns. While the 22-year-old forward didn’t crack the top three in Rookie of the Year voting, his ambitious outfits throughout the season earned him a nomination for the fan-voted “Best Style” award.
It’s unclear what Kuzma plans on wearing to the NBA Awards show, airing on TNT on June 25, but if he shows up dressed like a true Player Hater, there’s a good chance he’ll go home with another award.
