Josh Hart and Kyle Kuzma were among the Los Angeles Lakers to get seen ramping up their offseason workouts last week, and this week Ivica Zubac joined them at the UCLA Health Training Center.
The Lakers’ official Twitter account posted photos of Zubac and Hart working up a sweat before the team brought in six players for a predraft workout later in the morning.

Kuzma showed up afterwards, and was seen watching the draft workout with Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka:

Then after the prospects finished up it was Kuzma’s turn to get some work in, and it looks like he might be trying to beef up his arsenal of post moves for next season as he continues to develop his game:

If Kuzma did build up his footwork skills, it would just be the latest way he’s attempted on some level to emulate Kobe Bryant, who famously would add a few new tricks to his seemingly endless sleeve of them every offseason.
The Lakers didn’t make the playoffs, and are thus going to be in the midst of a long break before they start playing their next games that mean anything — although it appears Hart is set to play in summer league at the very least.
The good news for Lakers fans is that this young group seems to be using that time wisely, and that they’ll be better prepared for their next campaign, with a few new skills to boot.
