For the first time in recent memory, the Lakers will not play a single preseason game at the Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. However, they will makes stops in Las Vegas, Anaheim, San Jose and, of course, Los Angeles.
The Nuggets have been a mainstay in the Lakers’ preseason schedule since the beginning of time, but this year fans might have extra incentive to buy a ticket. In their four meetings with the Nuggets this past season, at least three games ended in some sort of confrontation, usually instigated by second-year guard Jamal Murray.
Even if the players plan on going into the season with a clean slate of forgiveness, the fans almost assuredly won’t.
Other notable games on the schedule are the Sacramento Kings game, which will pin Lonzo Ball and De’Aaron Fox up against one another for the first time in the new season, and the Los Angeles Clippers game, for obvious reasons.
The Lakers will wrap up their preseason with two games against the Golden State Warriors. Brandon Ingram has played with an extra pep in step whenever he’s gone up against his favorite player growing up, Kevin Durant, and these games should be no different.
Individual game tickets for games in San Diego, Anaheim and Las Vegas will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. PT on Monday, May 21, while tickets for the preseason games at STAPLES Center will go on sale at a later date, according to the press release.
If you can, try and grab the tickets as soon as they go on sale as it might be the first time Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and/or LeBron James suit up in the purple and gold.
