Not even in the last day of the NBA regular season can the Los Angeles Lakers avoid getting bit by the injury bug. During the second quarter of action vs. the Clippers on Wednesday night, Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope suffered an AC joint sprain and did not return.
An unrestricted free agent this summer, Caldwell-Pope may have played his last game in the purple and gold. If this was his last game with the Lakers, it’s a shame he didn’t get a proper send off.
In 74 games with the Lakers, Caldwell-Pope averaged 13.6 points on a career-high 38.4 percent shooting from behind the arc. He also averaged career highs rebounds, field goal percentage and steals.
We will provide information as it becomes available.
